PCNet Announces New Florida Data Center

PRESS RELEASE

June 4, 2014 – PCNet, Inc. has announced the acquisition of a new technology center located at 8251 Presidents Drive Orlando, FL. This site will house the southeast operations for the 25 year old technology company. PCNet will provide a variety of technology services including cloud Infrastructure services, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, and traditional IT consulting. This site acquisition is a result of PCNet’s growth in the southeast, a need for geographic data center diversity, and expansion within Florida’s hospitality and entertainment industry.

“We see Florida and the southeast as an emerging market for PCNet with unlimited potential,” stated Camilo Soto, President/CEO of PCNet. “We have been doing business in this area for quite some time and we are happy to become officially part of the Central Florida business community.” The Orlando Technology Center will mirror PCNet’s existing Trumbull, CT operations providing a full array of technology products and services.  The new data center immediately becomes a key cornerstone of its planned services adding a second geographically diverse data center for cloud clients already located in its Connecticut center.

Additionally, the Orlando center has nearly 50,000 square feet of data center space for clients looking for co-location or conditioned data center space. The Orlando data center is a terrific complement to our Connecticut operations.” said Kit Somal, CTO “By having multiple data centers in different geographies we can answer the growing needs of our clients. This new data center will accommodate more complex IT infrastructure requirements and provide a deeper sense of security knowing that a local catastrophic event will not disrupt their services if split amongst both sites.” The site is the former Dow Jones Industrial Shared Services location that housed their data center and logistics services.
