PCNet, Inc. was founded in 1985 as the IT Shared Services Division of the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation (D&B). At the time, D&B was the global information services leader with brands such as AC Nielsen, Gartner, and Moody’s. In 1993, PCNet, Inc. separated from Dun & Bradstreet and became a privately held, independent company and quickly added a number of Fortune 1000 clients to its customer base.
In 2013, the Corserva division was launched under PCNet, Inc. to create a focus on managed IT services. On January 1, 2017, the name of the company was officially changed to Corserva and all products and services of the company were brought under the single Corserva brand. (Read the press release.)

Frequently Asked Questions
Why the name change?
When PCNet was started in 1985, we focused on procurement of hardware, software, and network equipment for large enterprise companies. Thus, two of the initial offerings, PCs and networks, became our name “PCNet.” Over time, we have expanded our offerings to include managed IT services such as infrastructure management, disaster recovery, and managed security. In 2013, we built our first HIPAA and PCI compliant data center at our headquarters in Trumbull, Connecticut, including 24x7 network operations monitoring.
In 2013, we launched Corserva as a division of PCNet and built a second data center in Orlando, Florida. Initially, Corserva concentrated on providing managed services to the mid-market. However, we found that our managed services offerings proved equally attractive to our traditional enterprise customers as our mid-market customers, with many of our customers buying from both the PCNet and Corserva “brands” of our business. Since the PCNet brand is hardware focused, we selected the Corserva brand to be the name of the company. Ensuring our clients’ success remains our number one goal.
The Corserva brand was introduced as a division in 2013, and reflects well with the type of high end cybersecurity and IT managed services we are providing. The focus of our business is to provide “core services” to our clients, so the name “Corserva” fits well with our long term mission.
